Mille Lacs Lake Fishing Regulations
Daily and Possession Limits are the same unless otherwise noted. No Culling on Mille Lacs Lake.
Walleye
- 4 fish limit
- Open season May 9, 2009 - February 28, 2010
- Release immediately all walleye 18" to 28"
- One fish over 28" may be kept in your 4 fish limit
Northern
- 3 fish limit, only one over 36"
- Open season May 9, 2009 - February 28, 2010
- All fish between 24"-36" in length must be immediately released
Muskie
- 1 fish limit
- Open season June 6, 2008 - December 1, 2009
- All fish less than 48" in length must be immediately released
Smallmouth Bass
- 1 fish limit
- Open season May 23, 2009 - February 28, 2010
- Release immediately all fish less than 21" long
- Catch and release only for Smallmouth Bass from September 8th through the end of the season
Perch
- 20 fish daily limit. 40 fish possession limit.
- Continuous open season.
Night Ban
- Starting 10 p.m. on May 11th; Ending at 12:01 a.m. on June 8th
No one may fish for any species or possess fishing gear on the lake from 10:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. during the night fishing ban
