Mille Lacs Lake Fishing Regulations - 2008

Daily and Possession Limits are the same unless otherwise noted.
No Culling on Mille Lacs Lake.

Walleye

4 fish limit
Open season May 10, 2008 - February 22, 2009
Release immediately all walleye 18" to 28"
One fish over 28" may be kept in your 4 fish limit

Northern

3 fish limit, only one over 36"
Open season May 10, 2008 - February 22, 2009
All fish between 24"-36" in length must be immediately released

Muskie

1 fish limit
Open season June 7, 2008 - December 1, 2008
All fish less than 48" in length must be immediately released

Smallmouth Bass

1 fish limit
Open season May 24, 2008 - February 22, 2009
Release immediately all fish less than 21" long
Catch and release only for Smallmouth Bass from September 8th through the end of the season

Perch

20 fish daily limit. 40 fish possession limit.
Continuous open season.

Night Ban

Starting 10 p.m. on May 12th; Ending at 12:01 a.m. on June 9th
No one may fish for any species or possess fishing gear on the lake from 10:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. during the night fishing ban
